The Korean government embarked on the implementation plan to shift 310,000 precarious workers of 852 agencies and corporations in the public sector to regular employment status. 

Among 190,000 precarious workers who are directly employed with fixed-term contracts by the public institutions in the nation, those who are engaged in permanent and continuous works will be switched to regular employees within this year. 

120.000 precarious workers who are indirectly employed as temporary or subcontractor workers will be switched to regular workers or transferred to the subsidiaries established by the public institutions from next year following a survey study this year.
